a few of my favorites
ALL-TIME FAVORITE
If I had to choose one project above all the others I’ve worked on, it is the Genesis Project. I recruited six other artists, in addition to myself, to create a painting for each chapter of Genesis. At the end of the message series more than a year later, all the paintings were displayed on stage in what I like to call my own Sistine Chapel. I produced 28 of the 44 paintings, done in oil and acrylic. In addition to the paintings we created a commemorative coin for the dads for Father’s Day.

once upon a christmas
I’ve done a variety of Christmas themes over the years, but Once Upon a Christmas was my favorite. The mystical forest, highlighted by the abstract snow-covered pines, gave our team many opportunities to create a dreamy white Christmas. The pine trees were cut from foam board and used as the focal point for our stage design.

Home for the Holidays
This 2016 Advent Season started in September when I created four 36×48 inch paintings that were used for weekly Christmas Card devotionals. The theme was Home for the Holidays and we desired a warm, nostalgic feeling featuring homes lit by fireplaces or candles. To continue the old-time memories, we ordered 20 pounds of hard Christmas candy for our lobby to be enjoyed throughout the Advent Season.

unwrapping christmas
Christmas 2017 was filled with warmth, buffalo-check flannel, over-sized gift tags, and ugly Christmas Sweaters. (Unfortunately, I don’t own one and wearing my red and black flannel shirt had to suffice!)
